July 2019 Reflection – I’m back!

First of all, I wanted to say that I am back to (finally) updating this site. After taking a -6 month- or so hiatus after finishing my degree in Audio at SAE, I’m finally back on the train to creative enlightenment (making money). From now on, I aim to be consistently updating this site with monthly blogs on what I’ve been doing, end of project breakdowns and any other titbits I feel like writing about!

Now, the last few months have been a struggle, finding ways to be creative outside of uni, without having a space dedicated to learning and practising my audio work. I’ve felt a little bit trapped within my room and finding it super hard to get into a creative state of mind.

As such, I’ve been working on opening up a studio for the last few months with some close friends. It’s all a bit up in the air at the moment, but we’re registered as Tectonic Studios and are based in Cleveland in some small offices that we are currently repainting and re-carpeting, it’s all going to look very cool. More details on this as they come through, but hopefully it becomes a place I can go to be creative and do some good work!

I’ve also recently had some opportunities with 4ZZZ. The 4ZZZ program, Live Delay was in need of mixers for some sets and I put my hand up as someone who is interested! As such, I am now editing several sets for 4ZZZ and hope to continue this into the future!

Thanks for reading, and please feel free to check back for more upcoming blogs, maybe not so much about me next time 😉Screenshot_2
